I agree with those that say the first POC was the best, and this is definitely the best sequel. If I had seen the 2D version, I probably would have given it 5 stars, but since the 3D really wasn't worth the extra dollars, it gets 4 from me. Jack is at his best here and the new characters are quite delightful. Would have liked a bit more in-depth background story on Blackbeard (the whole zombie thing?), but overall a great storyline and great fun!!! Definitely will go into my at home collection!!!

Worthy of becoming a family favorite for us!

Our family of "olders" loves a good animated movie. We weren't too sure about this one when we first saw the previews as it looked a little "too young" for us. After seeing the clips during the Olympics, our interest was piqued. After viewing the 3-D film, we are big fans now!!! What a beautiful, eye-catching, powerful movie this is! And it has an excellent story line!!! The characters grab hold of you and make you care about them and the scenery takes your breath away. The 3-D is outstanding!!! This will definitely go into our family movie archives!

This is a movie our family has been waiting to see for a long time! And we weren't disappointed! Absolutely beautiful to look at, the 3-D was worth the extra few bucks. The story was very well done and the characters were amazing! I wouldn't advise smaller children seeing this movie, as it did have some scary moments with menacing creatures. We are huge Johnny Depp and Tim Burton fans and this movie just continues their grand tradition in extraordinary movie making!
