Decent but not what I was expecting

The movie had some great effects. I thought Johnny Depp did a great job as the mad hatter. We have been waiting for this movie to come out since it was first announced. We are HUGE Alice in Wonderland fans and love Johnny Depp in most of his movies. I was not overly impressed other than visually to some degree. The story line was so-so. It would have been more visually impacting had I not just seen Avatar. It was worth seeing, but not worthy the big, long build up and what one would expect from a combo of Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, 3D and Alice and Wonderland.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
