Personally I liked the style of his 3D allowin you to get into the film but not being so obvious with the 3D effects shooting out direcltly at you.
The story was an interesting adaptation of the original and while it was somewhat predictable it wa still good.
My Wife on the other hand was disappointed in the lack of overt 3D effects shooting at you and since we sat much farther back from the screen she believe that the move was less enjoyable. She however went in with very high expectations.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
