I went to see this movie for the technical aspects as much as the viewing pleasure and was not disappointed. The visual effects in Avatar are stunning. The story line is OK and the action is fast paced. I have to say though, I don't think I'll run out and offer to see it again with my friends multiple times like I did when Star Wars first came out. Still, it was very impressive. I saw a lot of parallels with Aliens (the 2nd movie of the series) with the space marines, giant robot suites, Hispanic female heroin, sub orbital flying machines and let's not forget Sigourney Weaver. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed the film. Go out and see it!
