Charming, and playful.

Although this movie fell short of my expections in a number of areas, it was still better than the lashings it has been taking from some critics.
The movie was visual eye-candy from start to finish. The acting was wonderful, as per usual; the biggest surprise being how good Helena Bonham Carter was. She was just a chuckle and a half.
The only sore point was the script. At times it felt disjointed and meandering, but the overall moral and tone of the screenplay was still true to the spirit of Lewis Carrol's beloved tale.
This is a film for all ages, demographics and walks of life. It is fun, light-hearted, charming and playful, even if it lacks serious depth.
