I would have rather seen a remake of the original storyline versus a new version with a slight twist. Characters could have been introduced better. The manner in which the movie ends is explained much too early, leaving little to the imagination other than how Alice gets to that point. No surprises. Great creativity in the scenes and visuals as expected from Burton. Wouldn't bother with the IMAX experience, but 3D was nice.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
