I will have to agree with some of the reviews I read about this movie lacking some of Tim Burtons sinisterness. It was not as dark as you thought this movie could have been. My 6 year old thought it delightful so not real worry about scaring the over 5 crowd. I feel the movie was rushed in parts and they could have developed the story a bit more. I mean you got out of the theater understanding the jist of the tale it just did not mesmerise you like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or even Interview with a Vampire. The acting was excellent and the 3d effects were sometimes very hard to focas on. Overall a great movie, just expected it to be a bit more climatic... You may know the general story just a bit more umph needed...Enjoy the show!
