A Piece of Inspiration, Genius and Art

What a treat ! This film is a contemporary depiction of the human condition without the arrogance, coldness and calculated wit.....of movies like "Up In The Air". City Island presents a piece of humanity based on the value of sharing personal truths. It has been said many times that we are only as sick as our secrets. And this film proposes a worthwhile solution to our personal struggles: "Muster the courage to let your truth be known."
Acting is superb, character development authentic and rich, humor galore.... too bad that such a magnificent effort only exists on the sidelines. But who knows, word of mouth may propel this brilliant film into the public arena and allow it to attain its rightful
place among the best movies ever.
