Starts Slow Ends Great

This movie is long, and it starts out very slow. But in the end its worth it, Shutter Island was very good psychological drama, definitely steers you one way just to twist you another in the end. All in all 4 stars, would be a 5 if it wasn't so long.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
