This is a favorite book of both myself and my boys - ages 9 and 4. I took them to see this movie. I wasn't sure what to expect since from the previews I was afraid it might scare my 4 year old. It didn't. In fact, he sat through it all (he sometimes does not) & laughed quite a bit. After the movie was over I figured I liked it more than the kids did, but both of my kids kept talking about how much they liked it. When we got home my 4-year old had to take a nap & he insisted we read the book. He loved pointing out the characters in the book & giving them their names from the movie & talking about what they were like. Of course all kids are different & like I said this didn't SEEM like my kids would like it so much - but they loved it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
