Horrible. Why does Tim Burton direct movies?

All the wonder and confusion of the novel is mashed-up, then spit onto the big-screen. Another lame movie by Tim Burton.
This is freaking bad. Read reviews. It's a mush of confusing scenes that just tirelessly go on.
But the director....why do the studios give this guy movies?
Batman? Amazing. Ed Scissorhands? A masterpiece. Since that he's the M Night of kid fantasy flicks. One disappointment after another. Sleepy Hollow? Dud. Mars Attack! Unwatchable. Planet of the Apes? An embarrassment! Big Fish? Come on, dude. Charlie and the Choc Factory? Seriously? 9? Wtf?
Has nobody learned their lesson? (clearly I haven't) He just sucks as a storyteller.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
