...and the Spider-Man reboot was HORRIBLE. As an appreciator of comic books AND big summer blockbusters... this movie simply wasn't good. Was it comical? Sure. Were SOME of the special effects worthy? Yeah. Other than that, it was 'boring' and seemingly 'out-of-touch' with what made the other Marvel films so special to begin with.
I won't even bother discussing the 'twist' that happens that has comic book fans ready to storm the castle. It was just stupid and unnecessary. It did however completely explain to my why they hired who they hired for a particular role as it was bothering me for MONTHS.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Most fun I've had at a superhero movie since The Dark Knight. It's not THAT good...but it was a GREAT film. I don't give many films 5 stars but this came damn close.
