Great effects, silly movie

3d movie 2d characters. All that time and money. Why couldn't they make the big bad security guy and the caring scientist more than cardboard cutouts, for example? Honestly, if they asked anyone in middle school or older to make a list of characters, they would have gotten the list they put in this movie.
Great effects, great spectacle, and some eco- spiritual- love- mumbo jumbo, but the movie echoes the Transformers in its resolution-by-violence arc, and Anna and the King of Siam in its "our guy will save the dumb natives from themselves" mentality.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
