Excellent movie

The acting is superb, the settings-- both in the Russian countryside and the interiors-- are beautifully detailed. One doesn't need to know about Tolstoy and his wife (though seeing the movie will make most want to know more) The film tells you what you need to know. More than anything, it's about what it means to love, from beginning to end.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
