An entertaining, fun movie. while not critical the many historical inaccuracies or inaccurate context was distracting. Still a good one. Johnny Depp was great.

Very Gritty and real

Mattie was tremendous, Damon convincing and ridges was his usual great self. The dialog was authentic and the action terrific. Realistic in appearance, speach, costume and setting. And they used appropriate period weapons, unlike Wayne's True Grit.

I enjoyed the movie. Good acting, good 'backstory' of legend based on factual circumstance. Great action scenes, but did the 12 century French reallyu have LST style invasion landing craft? Looked like D Day in reverse but 7 centuries earlier. Good, exciting movie that sets the stage for a sequel if this one does good.
