A predictable Psycho-Drama

I was excited for two main things about this movie: the period and the premise. Unfortunately the only period indicators are poorly though-out costumes and limited understanding of psychology. As for the premise it is thin, plain & simple. The acting is only par. And I must say that I was disappointed with Scorsese's directing. I expected much better. In the movie it is too choppy for my tastes.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
