I loved the story, the cast, the effects that quickly morphed into real mental images of an alien world and the IMAX 3-D experience. I have seen most of the great movies released since the early 50's and Avatar stands with any of them. I recall many 50's and 60's 3-D releases and though the technology has improved a bit, it basically hasn't changed much. IMAX is similar to Cinerama with screens that are often smaller.. The digital projection system is fantastic.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
