Entertaining, but not Oscar worthy!

The movie kept me interested the entire time and the visual effects were pretty outstanding, which is why I would say that you should see the movie if you're considering it. On the downside, like other reviewers I found the movie VERY preachy in not subtle ways, which detracted a lot from my overall enjoyment -- when they introduced "unobtanium" as the resource that brought humans to Pandora, I wasn't sure I heard it right (couldn't come up with anything more clever than that??). The acting was fine, but there's no way this movie should be up for best picture.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
