My wife and I went to this movie as a date night movie. We both enjoyed it - as a date night, it was a success.
It was an entertaining movie. I agree with the critics that the plot was predictable and the special effects were excellent. For a movie from the guy who gave us Terminator, Aliens, and Titanic, I would have been surprised if there was anything different in it.
I don't think the 3D was worth the extra money, the NASA trailer for the upcoming IMAX 3D movie on repairing the Hubble telescope took infinitely better advantage of the 3D capabilities.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
