Plot Holes Galore

There were countless plot holes which left me feeling like I was helpless to escape with any sense of enjoyment for this film. The trailers were better than the film! The worst thing was the fact that there is never an explanation for why a random woman's child holds the fate of humanity in it's existence. The movie never answers many other questions and just leaves you with too many unanswerables in general. it seemed to me that the script was not written well enough to be able to even come close to offering any good answers, the biggest one being "Why? Why did ANY of this even go down in the first place?"
I did not enjoy this film nor did my date. Would have rather seen something mentally intriguing like Sherlock Holmes.
