Wonderful to watch two extraordinary actors bring this story to life - the movie belongs to Firth and Rush, with no surprise that Firth got the Golden Globe award - I was sorry when the movie ended, because I wanted to watch the characters' relationship develop further, and I couldn't take my eyes off of Firth and Rush - their voices, their mannerisms, their timing - no blow-ups, no boobs, just stellar craftsmanship - highly recommended
(and thank god Edward abdicated and George ascended to the throne)

Outstanding - Bayle is a force of nature, surely an award-winning performance, but not the only one - mother Alice is pathetic and riveting in her self-denial, and Wahlberg's character is a blank slate upon which everyone writes their demands and hopes - boxing is only a framework, this movie is about family and desperation and integrity and belief - a story well-told, with actors who are all-in with their characters - highly recommended
