Essentially inherently powerful plot marred to a large extent by some superficial script and over-the-top execution. The amount of screen time devoted to SRK is disconcerting - especially since i felt that there were many stronger sub plots and characters that could have been cultivated much more. This to me indicates the over reliance on the "SRK brand" by KJo and possibly his ineptitude to do anything more with the script. Likewise the angle of the fundamentalists plotting violence and the stabbing of Rizwan was contrived and totally unnecessary to the plot - seems like the movie makers just wanted to play to all sides of the rift and refused to take a stance.
