Great story, great acting

This is a pleasant movie, acting can't be faulted, and Anne Hathaway is a knock out. The movie tries a little too hard -- so many snippets of life over so many years, some of them quite full and impactful, others just barely touch on who these people are. In total, though, its a great story of two people who love eachother and realize just too late what the potential could be.
Jim Sturgess is an excellent match for Hathaway -- quite believable couple.
An enjoyable movie, recommended for sure!

Stunning movie to watch -- the actual plot and dialog are rather predictable, however.
If you like this genre -- its fun & enjoyable!

OK, a good movie to rent

Well, this movie is NOT about the story, which could have been SO much better. But its about the star, Adam Sandler. That's too bad, because the premise is fun and the cast is good.
But rather than make this movie about the "fun" part (and the very underlying morale), its really an avenue for Sandler to show himself off.
Liked the movie -- but it really doesn't qualify as a great cinematic movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Ledger's performance is captivating --
But even without his performance -- the other elements of the movie are superb.
Not much more I can say after the 1000's of other positive reviews.

Great summer movie...but

The more you used to enjoy the old Get Smart, the more you'll enjoy this one -- with the old lines, the cameos.
Steve Carell is excellent -- and this is THE role for him,
But for those young uns -- like my 12 year old and his friends -- there were a few long, tedious spots.

Wonderful, again

A great story, well acted, wonderful visuals.
Plenty of gasps and WOWs in the theatre -- and the CGI is absolutely fantastic and well done.
Love it when a movie gets right into the story and moves along, this one does.
No, not the same magic as the first time, this one is a bit more sober --
One of the few movies I've been to recently that got applause from the audience at the end (the new Indy Jones movie, did not -- and yes, this is FAR better than Crystal Skull)
