Watery Classic Remake

I am being generous. I give it a 3 star for visual appeal, good acting, and neat effects. I would recommend this to a friend solely because most of my friends are horror movie buffs, and it's a remake of a classic, and therefor an instant "must see". HOWEVER. I was disappointed. My fiance and I were both left shaking our heads in bewilderment. In this rendition the wolfman is so feral he as a beast... yet he just kills for gore factor. He doesn't hang out to eat them or anything. What is he, rabid? It just seemed flimsy. I expected more. Granted the original wasn't so solid, either, but I give credit for being an early movie before audiences were so demanding and so burnt out. I needed more substance and reason than this film could give.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
