I saw Avatar in IMAX 3D. It was phenomenal. I felt as if I were inside the action and at times, actually ducked. I thought the acting was good, the story interesting, with many parallels to our history and the history of many nations caught in the oppressor / oppressed synapse. I thought this picture was sheer genius and wondered how J. Cameron had conceived the plot and technology and had found people to execute it for him. It should win best picture, best special effects and best costumes. I think I would like to see it again. I've already seen it twice.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
