While the preteen girls went to see Twilight (again), I sat thru Yes Man hoping it would improve with time. Nope. I was glad the girls were elsewhere, especially during the (unnecessary and plain stupid) scene where Jim's character gets a blow job from a elderly neighbor lady. Whoa Nelly, had I stumbled into a R-rated movie by mistake? Nope. I can take crude sexual humor, but this scene was senseless, considering the PG-13 rating. This movie could have been so much more---sorry Jim, you (got) blew it.
While the men went to see the new Bond movie, we four women went to see this movie on Saturday night. (Ages from 12-76) Once the first few scenes were over, when the (unnecessary) bad language and the sex scenes were gone, the movie really began and the fun started...I really liked this movie and I am planning to see it again with my husband next weekend. Wouldn't recommend it for those under 13 however, the PG-13 is right on the mark on this movie.
Went on a Monday night. Place was packed. The movie was great, the ending not expected. It all tied up neatly in the last few minutes. Plan to see it again.
I went with my husband and 12 yr old daughter to see this. The previews looked cute. I would only recommend this movie to you if you were taking your worst enemy ever to a movie, and even then, I would advise you to pop into another show and leave your enemy alone to suffer in silence...it was that bad. I know the writers wrote Legally Blonde, and I had hoped the movie would have that charm, but I was so so so wrong. It demeaned women, embarrassed me as a mom, and was a total waste of time. We should have left sooner, but I think we were all so stunned that this movie ever reached the theatre in the first place. Stay home and beat yourself in the head with a brick. You'll have more fun and it will be less painful.
