Great movie, but...

This was my third viewing. I thought, "Let's try IMAX this time, kick it up a notch." Wrong. I'm kind of old and maybe my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, but in IMAX, "Avatar" was just too much. Too much movement, too much going on filling my field of vision. The CGI was more obvious because, I think, it was spread over more area and thus less dense. And I also did not like the Real D version of 3-D. I had to put the glasses on over my regular glasses and there was a very narrow field of vision compared to the Dolby 3-D I saw the first two times. But I guess if you're young and have good eyes, IMAX is probably great.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
