Half Blood Prince is best of the HP series

It's rare that a movie bests the book on which it's based, but that's the case with HPVI. And what's more, it's by far the best in the HP series.
Daniel Radcliffe earnest, honest portrayal of Harry makes up for some stiff performances in the earlier installments. As was the case with HPV, special props to Evanna Lynch's loveably creepy Luna Lovegood,
The crowning achievement is Steve Kloves' screenplay, which takes Ms. Rowling's somewhat plodding tone, and turns it into an exciting romp with exactly the right blend of fantasy suspense thriller and teenage love story.
Don't miss this on the big screen, but leave kids younger than 10 home, as there are some very scary moments.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Perfect other than the length

The Dark Knight is a home run, except for the length. This really plays like two separate movies mashed into one, and you find yourself wondering why the story is still going.
That said, it's well worth the price of admission. Heath Ledger lives up to the posthumous hype, Bale, Eckhart, Oldman, and Caine all shine. I'm not sure Gyllenhaal plays it as well as Katie Holmes, but she's passable.
The story is gripping, and the action and effects top notch. Without spoiling anything, there is one makeup effect that is extraordinary.
Go see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
