The Dude has 'Tude...Travolta's Wax character is polished to perfection in the mold of the Miami loan shark, Chili "Look at Me" Palmer. The chrome dome, the bling ear ring, the outrageous waaaay over the top use of personal protection ("my favorite is the .357 Magnum") says: Travolta is a film star who can open and carry most any picture that doesn't straight-jacket him with dialog-heavy scripts. Note: Do not do any post-analysis on the logic or flow of this script.
