Whistful and Wonderful - but predictable

I usually hate predictable movies - and Avatar IS predictable. But this movie is about indulging, not analyzing. There are some elements that will make you groan, primarily the heavy-handed political statements and the obvious parallels to current events. But you will forgive this movie for that. You will forgive it because it will leave you longing for Pandora, longing for the love that exists between the two lead characters, longing for meaning in our own existence on our real-life planet Earth and longing for the end to our own conflicts in a momentous and defining way.
Overall this is definitely a movie that you will enjoy for some very basic and simple reasons. Nothing complicated about Avatar, and that is quite alright.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
