I did not read the book but the movie was awesome! Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried worked really well together. Channing Tatum made the movie and of course was as sexy as ever. Every girl will want a guy like him after they see it! If you do not cry...you have no heart! It is a very sad movie and I would put it in the category of a sad romantic love story. I recommend it to anyone.
