The movie was good, up until the ending. I had people tweeting "going to see Dear John. But after the movie was over, no reaction what so ever. So i knew i was in for a horrible movie. The movie had some tear jerker moments, but the ending totally did not make sense. It seemed as though it was like the notebook, you have to buy the DVD to see the scenes they cut out to see what just happened.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
