Jennifer Lopez was beautiful in the movie and I think her acting has improved. The movie, however, was very slow and I thought a lot of scenes were thrown in just to lengthen it.
After seeing the 2007 English version (which was hilarious), I was anxious to see the remake. James Marsden was great and I would recommend that everyone see this movie if only for Marsden. The character that Chris Rock played was too serious of a part for him and it was not a good fit. Tracy Morgan was hilarious. In spite of Chris Rock, I enjoyed the movie a lot.
I loved the movie. Although WDIGM # 1 was a good movie, WDIGM TOO was the best. It was touching, funny and shocking. I have seen it twice already and plan to go again before it leaves the theaters.
This should be on everyone's list to see. I was disappointed to learn that it was number ten on the first week-end; however I think that the movie will gradually move up strictly by word of mouth. This will be a classic movie--one that stays in the theaters for a long time, just as "Fireproof" did. Every family should plan to see this movie.
My husband and I saw this movie for the second time last night. We loved it again. I'm sorry that it will be leaving the theaters soon because I would definitely see it for the third time. I loved the chemistry between Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin and saw none between Streep and Steve Martin.
Our local movie critic had given this one star stating the fact that there were too many situations and they were hard to connect. I had seen the movie trailers many times and wanted to see it anyway. Ashton Kutcher made the movie. I want to own this when it comes out on DVD. It was a feel-good movie and my husband and I enjoyed it.
The movie started out slow and I thought I was going to agree with the movie critic in the Kansas City Star; however, after a slow start, the movie became fun. I would recommend this movie to family and friends.
