There are many 3D animated "childrens" movies out there. Most lack the quality of character development, story, and visual richness that defines the Pixar studio. Toy Story three has the ability to move even adults on an emotional level by paying attention to nuance of expressions and timing. Visually, Toy Story three does not disappoint: an opening sequence as big and imaginative as any action movie; new toy characters so authentic they bring back childhood memories; and rendering, with textures and lighting, that makes you forget it's not a live action film. The film carried me, a 32 y/o male, through a whole range of emotions, and gently delivered me to the end credits in pure delight. On top of it, Pixar's short, Day & Night, before the main feature was so beautiful and inspiring that it was worth the price of admission on it's own. All in all, don't miss this work of excellence, no matter your age.
