Great Family Fun

My husband and I grew up watching Star Trek and have seen pretty much all of the feature-length films. We thought this new Star Trek movie was excellent -- nary a disappointing moment, and lots of wonderful ones! We took our 13-year-old son, who is now hooked on the Star Trek story, and wants to see more of the movies, and our 11-year-old daughter, who was skeptical at first, but really enjoyed the characters, humor and story. I was also pleased that the film's PG-13 rating was spot on. The brief scene with Kirk and Uhura's roommate and the little bit of smooching in the rest of the movie was very tastefully done, and the use of salty language was appropriate to the script and characters. A great movie for families of tweens and teens!
