This movie surprised me. I was expecting a lighter storyline. What I got was a serious, introspective on the main character. While the movie is not a "happily ever after" affair, it is an excellent treatment of the characters involved. I enjoyed the character development and Clooney's subtle humor was nice. I can see how he and Anna Kendrick were nominated but I liked Vera Farmiga just as much if not more. It's a good movie but not "Picture of the Year".
Yes, I recommend this movie.
