Don't like science fiction? Not really interested in special effects? My advice is to give this movie a try anyway (and IMAX 3-D is a treat - even the previews are fascinating). Yes, the effects are fantastic, to the point where even the Lord of the Rings trilogy seems a little dated technologically. But beyond the world that has been superbly created by Cameron and team, there is a finely crafted plot delivered by some very capable actors. It is a three-hour movie that flies by in a very satisfying way.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
