I thought this HD simulcast was terrific. Placido Domingo was great, as were the other actors. It's a real boon for those of us who don't want to spend the money and time going into NYC. But the simulcast has its own benefits. Watching the back stage changes and interviews with the actors is very interesting. Having the cameras do close-ups also makes you feel right there; you could actually see Domingo sweat in the final scene.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
