I have seen many movies and this one stands out, this is Justin Timberlake's best performance that I've seen, the part fits him better than any other part he's done. Mila Kunis is obviously beautiful, but she can also act, there was never a bad or slow part to this movie, very funny and very touching...
The first 45 minutes was hysterical, the last 10 minutes was funny, the middle 45 minutes was not funny at all, it was just stupid dialog in the middle of the movie, not even going to call it humor, however the first 45 minutes was absolutely funny, like cheeks hurt funny, maybe nap after that part and wake for the very end and outtakes afterward
I went because my wife wanted to see this one, actually glad I did. Beside not being what I expected, I was required to think a little bit, a very pleasant surprise, I don't generally see a movie to think as I do that most other times, however this time it made the movie even more enjoyable. Other than Owen Wilson in a part that I didn't think was good for him (still don't) the content makes that a little easier to overlook. A definite for anyone over 15 who likes pretty scenery and a bit of a mental challenge, fun movie
It seems I am in the minority here, however I see an avg. of 2-3 movies a week and this one just doesn't live up to the trailer. The story was just so unbelievable, In the last 1/2rd of the movie I was watching as 4 kids ran through a military raid completely unnoticed, etc. I don't want to spoil the movie however I don't think I could do a better job than the producer/director did
I think the premise of the movie is better than most movies out today, the movie is actually enjoyable to watch but requires paying attention to follow the twists and turns it takes. Matt Damon is very good as is Anthony Mackie in another excellent roll for him. Very enjoyable and fast moving
This wasn't what I had originally expected, it was much better, the dialogue between the King and Lionel (gives too much away if I address Lionel by his function) This would be a good movie for younger kids ONLY if they have a learning disability, was only 1 point when the movie seemed drawn out but that 10 minutes window is quickly overshadowed. Go enjoy and notice the banter between the king and Lionel, very good
Even though it started off as a very good made for TV movie it quickly evolved into a very well made movie. The beginning is pretty predictable, new guy gets paired with older guy who doesn't want to spend time training some kid with connections, but because the movie moves so quickly we are shown that status doesn't matter if a large number of innocent people are going to survive
For some unknown reason this movie hasn't gotten nearly the publicity it deserves. Was well written, thought through thoroughly (hard to say 3 x fast) and well acted. I am very surprised that Olivia Wilde is 1. not used in trailers, 2. doesn't have a bigger part 3. her charachter isn't more developed (but boy is she :) ). In all the movie was a very pleasant surprise.
This is what movies should be, it was well done, well written, and enjoyable to watch, as long as you are at least 16 years old, anyone younger would get bored and not really grasp the concepts. There are so many scenes that most of us can relate to and it really does have several very subtle but very accurate messages, kudos to all involved. Anthony Edwards plays a character that is so unlikeable it makes you cringe everytime he speaks, but he does it well.
