This was pretty funny. Wahlberg is always so serious that when he's doing comedy it's even funnier. Wil's his usual self. Nothin brilliant here but there were a lot of laugh-out-loud moments and it was a fun date movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

If you aren't into Kenny Chesney, you may want to skip this, but for Kenny fans, it helps take the sting out of his break from touring. I was at the concert last summer so it was really cool to see it from another perspective & get more of a front-row view... I would have liked to see them not have so many cuts since at times there were really cool 3D shots where you felt like Kenny was right there, but then they would quickly cut to a non-3D shot or overhead shot, so it was a little frustrating at times. But some parts were really neat like when he was singing a ballad and they kept a close-up and showed some of the people up front. (I'm so jealous btw, HOW do they get those seats????!) 3-D glasses have come a long way as I didn't wind up with a headache from this one - it was pretty natural. The voice-overs gave more of Kenny's perspective of touring and his fans, and the footage of his emotional final performance of "Better as a Memory" made my husband and I both cry! Kenny is an awesome performer and shows a genuine appreciation for his fans and the place his music has in our lives. I would recommend this for any Kenny fan, or anyone who loves music and loves to see a great performance.
Yeah I agree it's not as good as the book but still a pretty good look at the effects of a child's murder on the family. You kind of wish it went somewhere other than where it ends up.
