Lyrical, Funny, and Touching

I'm always surprised when a summertime feature chooses to entertain with a show of confidence in the audience's intelligence. Of course, Pixar is always up to the task of challenging us with a new way of looking at things, whether they are toys, bugs, or rats. With WALL-E, Pixar is relying on our patience to follow an initially gentle narrative and our collective willingness to believe in the faith and pluck of its metallic hero. Judging by the audience in which I sat, people of all ages can be drawn into the breathtaking world of this wonderful film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
