Dazzling, too dazzling

Hokey, feel-goody even if overused story line.
The Imax 3d technology was awesome. At the beginning I was reaching out to touch the spaceship and characters that looked and felt as if they were right in front of me.
However, the spectacle went from mind-blowing to mind-numbing. It wasn't just overkill, it just wasn't fun anymore. Once the special effects were no longer special they were almost boring.
Glad I saw it, but an hour shorter and saving some of the special effects would have pushed this from 3 star to 4.5
