just another Hollywood action movie

This is not Sherlock Holmes. A Captain Jack superhero but not Sherlock Holmes. Behind the special effects, fast dialogue, not quite believable chemistry experiments that Holmes Borg-clicks back to us at a pace so fast we won't detect that they don't quite hang together logically, lies a very thin plot. Whatever. I am longing for the subtle pyschological narrative that truly is Sherlock Holmes. And what was with the Holmes/ Watson relationship? Something for everyone in the audience- straight or not! Great acting by RD, Jr. tho. Great set design and atmosphere. But, hey, can we turn DOWN the sound a bit? Ouch my ears.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
