Heath Ledger passed on to the ultimate "Imaginarium" two years (and a day) before I saw his final film. And what a film it was!
It was enjoyable seeing Ledger on screen one last time and his three visits to Parnassus' Imaginarium were well done (when a different actor took on the character's role). Tom Waits was great as "Mr Nick" and the other actors did a fine job, too.
Terry Gilliam's unique visual style is all over this movie (in and out of the Imaginarium); the whole thing is kinda like a 21st century "Baron Münchhausen" with a more "straight ahead" plot (of a Gilliam film can be said to poses one of those).
