Great visuals. 3D effects were not overdone and became organic to the story once the initial distraction wore off. Story-wise, Cameron is too simplistic - military = bad, natives = good; technology = bad, nature = good; corporations = bad, tribalism = good. I am disturbed to see the anti-military message when we are at war; it goes against the general recognition that we support our troops even if we disagree with the war. Cameron makes virtually all the troops look like blood-thirsty cowboys. The early disclaimer that they are mercenaries gets lost along the way and is never reinforced so it easy to draw the conclusion that the movie is a knock on troops as well as decision makers. All that said, was I entertained? You bet!
