As I read the other reviews, I agree there was violence. Yet it was needed in this apocalyptic setting. I had no idea what this movie was about so I especially left the theater with a great feeling. I absolutely loved the message and think it should remind us of our purpose. Religious or not, you will find a way to connect with this movie. I applaud Warner Brothers for putting a movie onscreen with a great message.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
