I saw this the first go-round with a friend who has never been to an opera. He loved it!
Elina Garanca was simply out of this world--a terrific actress as well as possessing an amazing voice.
You will love this! Definitely go see it!

Elina Garanca is fabulous in this role! Her acting is so good that it maks her singing seem effortless. Roberto Alagna is also wonderful. The voices of these two blend perfectly.
Barbara Frittoli is a little too old to play Micaela.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
