Everyone should see Avatar

That is, everyone over the age of , say, 8 or 9. Be aware that it is nonstop action - the nearly 3 hours goes by in a flash - and there are a great many battle scenes that young children would find disturbing. Visually, Avatar is as lush a movie as I've ever seen. Pandora is Shangri-la in 3-D, with hanging islands, plants that light up, flying dragons and many other delights. The people who live there are equally entrancing , like blue Olympic athletes who move like limber monkeys. Absolutely delightful. My husband and I drove for 5 hours to see it on IMAX - worth the long drive.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
