Disappointing all in all. Incredible technology used to tell a comic book story with a trivial good versus evil plot presenting an over-simplified Hollywood apologia for how the Native Americans were brutally done away with by the European conquerors. At least this time the natives win, which is, itself, a lie. The Natives don't win these kinds of things.

Hollywood can't figure out how to make a high tech movie that does not involve super bad guys killing good guys then getting killed.

The 3-D is a novelty but may be pure "wow" factor that will be a fad. Time will tell.
