Excellent Remake

I was a little nervous to take my kids, 8 and 10, as the movie was PG13, and the original was benign. I am glad I did. They loved the mythology and thought it was great. My 8 y.o. was a little scared twice, but all-in-all fine for them. Great remake!

A few slow moments, mid movie, but fast-paced, well-thought, and exciting; left enough open for an intelligent sequel. Worth the time and the hype. Took my kids, 10 year-old great, maybe a little "too real" for the 8 year-old.

Visually Stunning. Was worried to take the kids due to a few reviews I had read. Could have dealt w/o a bit of the language, as it was unnecessary. It was predictable, unfortunately, but well worth the time. Did not see in 3-D, but think that would have taken away from the film and would have been distracting. (Don't get anything to drink! It is long!)
